Cricket Multimedia Installation

Intro/Background

• We are creating a visual multimedia installation on the subject of cricket.
• The content will go in a lounge bar on 6 X 42" flat screen monitors.

Ideas for the presentation.

• The sound and cadence of a cricket test match is unique - we are exploring this as a possiblity.
• Slow motion video is proving to be a powerful medium - video shot specifically at super high frame rates.
• Need to find a way of accessing a vast repository of images - beyond regular means" google flickr etc"

Inspiration for creating this presentation was a slideshow installation series done on jazz. The imagery was primarily drawn from Ken Burns DVD 10 Pack series. It allowed for "millions of frames" to be interpreted as stills and motion sequences.

Such a strong source is required for this work.
